Shabbat Shalom from Maple Lake
A Shabbat message from Camp Director Jeff Rose.
A Friendship to Last a Lifetime
Camp George has fostered some wonderful friendships over these past 20 years. We decided to sit down with three best friends from first session: Emma, Jamie, and Emily!
Why I Love Working for Twenty-Somethings
“There is a camp director, and associate and assistant directors, and a few other “grown ups” who monitor and support all the moving pieces. But those twenty-somethings make it all happen. They are the magic ingredient, the “secret sauce” of our camps.”
Peter Pan: A Flying Success
At the end of First Session, a group of Kochavim and Barak campers performed the camp play: Peter Pan. The reviews are in, and it’s clear that this show was a great success!

Shabbat Shalom from Maple Lake
Hello from sunny Maple Lake! Two weeks ago we came together as a community to celebrate our first Shabbat together. Now, as this Shabbat begins, we can hardly believe that we are going into our final days of first session! This has been such an exhilarating week at camp – Visitor’s Day on Sunday saw hundreds of family and friends at camp.
Promoting Health and Wellness at Camp
At Camp George, health and well-being is a big part of our culture. Because we are a home away from home for so many campers and staff, camp needs to be an environment that allows everyone to remain healthy and happy throughout the summer.
The Dog Days of Visitor’s Day
One of the special features Visitor’s Day at Camp George is that all members of the family are welcome- two AND four legged! We love seeing our campers and their fury friends reunited and exploring camp together.
