Dear Camp George Families,

Can you believe that we are almost two weeks into first session? Time flies when you’re having fun! The weather this week has been great with sunny skies and the perfect temperature to be outside in and around Maple Lake. This week has been filled with fun and excitement including the 5th annual CG Games.

In addition to all the camp-wide fun, here’s a sneak peek of what each of our units have been up to:

Nitzotzot has had an amazing second week of camp! Our campers ventured through “Worlds of Wonder” during our fantasy themed evening program. They also worked together and bonded during their Egg Drop program. Nitzotzot also enjoyed competing in CG Games this week!

The Lehavot unit has been having a great second week at camp!  The girls went on their island adventures at Gan Matan and bonded over dancing and swimming!  Lehavot also had fun making their own fancy lemonade drinks at master chef JR program and created funny cabin skits at our Saturday Night Live program!

Kochavim had a blast at the Bounce Dance on Sunday! They competed against each other for a fun edition of Minute-to-Win-it EP and ran around the camp for their Extinction EP. Kochavim is looking forward for their overnight at Gan Matan next week!

Barak had a great second week! Girls from B2 and B6 enjoyed a fun canoe trip, while campers back at camp participated in Dare Night for their evening program! The whole unit was treated to a breakfast in bed, and are looking forward to another great week ahead

The CITs have all enjoyed their first week of cabin/specialty placements! However, the highlight of the week was attending Camp Northland for a basketball tournament! Many saw their friends from other camps and enjoyed seeing a different camp, especially one that Brian went to as a CIT years ago! And we left the tournament being told by the organizers that we were the most respectful and mature camp in attendance, something we at Camp George are all very proud of. They also had a great time at their first two planned evening programs’ DisneyLip Sync Battle and Messy (Painted) Twister followed by a jump in the lake to clean off.

Moving ahead into the week, we have a lot to look forward to. Coming up this week, we are excited about:

• The B’Libeinu Run
• Yom Yisrael
• Hagigah Arts Festival

And Pride Shabbat this weekend.

We look forward to welcoming you to camp on Sunday, meanwhile please click here to view This Week at Camp George, our weekly recap video. Wishing you a wonderful Shabbat.
