Camp Director

Jeff Rose joined the Camp George family in the fall of 2007. Jeff came to us from Camp Sabra in St. Louis, MO. Before that Jeff spent many years in Montreal, Quebec, where he was the full time Associate Director of the Harry Bronfman Y Country Camp. He has an education degree from the University of Toronto where he taught grade two prior to moving into camping full time. Jeff’s passion for camp shines through and he promises to make Camp George a safe and fun environment where campers and staff will laugh, learn and grow together and create memories that will last a lifetime. Jeff, along with his wife Kerryn and daughters Chloe and Avery celebrate every moment they spend on Maple Lake.

Lauren (she/hers)

Associate Director

Lauren joined the Camp George family in 2019. Lauren grew up in the Reform movement in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so feels naturally connected to the power of Reform Jewish Camp. Lauren is not new to the Ontario Jewish camping community. She spent 7 years as the Assistant Director of The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp and is passionate about Jewish camp and the impact it has on our youth. She has a degree in Jewish Studies from Indiana University. Lauren and her husband, Yoni, also a huge supporter of Jewish camping, live in Toronto with their two children, Joshua and Nessa. Lauren loves working towards building the bright future of Camp George!

Assistant Director

Throughout his time at camp, Josh has exhibited remarkable growth and leadership within the camp community, transitioning seamlessly from a camper to a staff member, and program assistant and now stepping into the role of Assistant Director. Having called Camp George home for 18 summers, Josh cherishes the countless friendships and memories forged over the years. Now, as Assistant Director, Josh is committed to giving back to the community that has shaped him and creating everlasting memories for both campers and staff. Josh brings his enthusiasm, dedication, and love for Camp George to enhance the experience for everyone in our vibrant camp community.

Marly (she/hers)

Assistant Director, Community Care & Engagement

Marly is a dedicated member of the URJ Camp George team, bringing 15 summers of experience and a deep commitment to the camp community. She currently serves as Assistant Director, overseeing Community Care, Engagement, Communications, and Development. Marly holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). In her year-round role in Toronto, she contributes to Camp George’s strategic development, marketing, communications, and fundraising initiatives. During the summer, she leads Community Care, supporting the well-being and overall camper and staff experience. Marly is proud to be part of the Camp George community and to help shape the magic of Maple Lake for generations to come.

Melissa (she/hers)

Business Manager

Melissa Wiltshire joined the Camp George team as the Business & Finance Manager in the summer of 2025. With over 8 years of experience in operations and office management, Melissa brings a strong background in streamlining systems, financial oversight, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s passionate about creating efficient processes that help organizations thrive. Her background spans across tech, design, accounting and real estate industries.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys yoga, pilates and spending time with her partner Kevin and her dog Lily.
