Leadership Team (Hanhallah) members run camp day-to-day. With eyes everywhere, they are responsible for the overall health, safety and well-being of everyone in camp. Unit Heads supervise the grade-level units (both campers and staff) and Specialty Heads supervise the activity areas (overseeing staff and daily instruction). Program staff supervise areas such as Programming, Education, Worship, etc. 

General Counselors live in bunks with campers and thus have the most direct influence on their campers’ summer experiences. Counselors serve as responsible, mature, Jewish role models and set the tone for the cabin community. In many ways, the cabin group becomes the campers’ family, and great counselors are the key! General counselors run both educational and recreational camper programs.

Specialists supervise the campers’ daily activities in a wide range of areas, from athletics to arts to waterfront to outdoor adventure to Jewish Life and more. Specialty staff offer campers the opportunity to develop new skills, strengthen existing ones, and build positive self-esteem along the way. Our specialists come to camp with either previous teaching experience or a high level of proficiency in their specialty. Some areas require specific qualifications. Specialist live in camper cabins and have supervisory responsibilities in the cabin when they are not in their specialty area. Our specialty areas include:

  • ATHLETICS: Archery, Baseball & Softball, Basketball, Hockey, Tennis, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Soccer.
  • ARTS: Pottery, Arts and Crafts, Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre, Yoga, Cooking
  • JEWISH LIFE & PROGRAM: Jewish Education, Songleading, worship
  • OUTDOOR ADVENTURE: Campcraft, Ropes, Tripping, Nature
  • WATERFRONT: Swim Instruction, Waterski, Wakeboarding, Sailing, Paddlesports (canoe/kayak,SUP)
  • COMMUNICATION: Social Media, Photography, Videography and Audio/Visual

Support Staff are responsible for the day-to-day behind-the-scenes operation of camp. These staff members may work in the Health Centre, Office, Tuck Shop, Driver, Housekeeping or be part of the Facilities and Logistics teams. 

Community Care Staff support our campers and staff navigate the challenges of day-to-day living at camp and help campers who may require accomodations while at camp.

Head Counselor will supervise all of the counselors and camper units in camp. They will oversee staff to ensure campers safety, well being, and programming excellence.

Medical Staff ensure that our community remains healthy and safe. Both nurses and doctors make up our medical staff team.

Nanny will care for the full time directors children. This person will ensure the kids are safe and enjoying the best of camp life.
