Camp George 2023 Playlist: The Songleaders’ Favourites!

During our unforgettable 25th summer, we’ve crafted a tapestry of incredible memories, with music and prayer weaving seamlessly into the fabric of these cherished moments. Guiding us on this melodious journey is none other than our Head Songleader and URJ summer intern, Hannah Ginsberg. With her skill set, she has curated the quintessential Camp George Summer 2023 playlist. This Camp George playlist not only features beloved service favorites and secular Havdalah songs, but also an assortment of other musical gems that are bound to resonate with each and every one of us!

“This past May I had the privilege of attending “Hava Nashira”, which is a convention for Jewish musicians and educators. I was exposed to so much new repertoire, as well as teaching strategies and song leading tools. This includes songs and prayers that have become staples in the camp community this summer. I often hear kids walking from activity to activity singing these tunes, and it fills me with so much joy and Ga’avah (pride)! These songs include: Elana Arian’s Ken Yehi Ritzon, Aly Halpert’s Ashrei, and Hannah Gundersheim’s Hashkivineu”
