Check out our interview with Rosh Lehavot Bryanna Feldman in the blog below! Welcome back Bryanna!

Tell us about your background at camp.

“This will be my 12th summer at Camp George and I cannot imagine spending my summers anywhere else! It all started when I walked off the bus for the first time in youngest Lehavot when I was nine and I have not left since. I have had the opportunity of working as a staff member at Camp George for 4 years so far and I cannot wait for another year on staff and for this new leadership role. For three summers, I was a Lehavot counselor which was the most rewarding and eye-opening experience that I would never trade. Last summer I was the Kochavim Assistant Unit Head and I absolutely loved it, working with Julia taught me so much and I cannot wait to put all I learnt to the test this summer as the Lehavot Unit Head.”

What are you looking forward to this summer?

“I am looking forward to all the new and exciting experiences that being unit head will bring! I am really excited to be able to help foster memories and friendships with both my campers and staff. I am looking forward to being back in Lehavot where it all started for me so many years before and assist staff in creating experiences that my counselors did for me. I cannot wait to get back to Maple Lake and to see what this summer holds.”

What do you do outside of camp?

“Outside of camp I am in my third year at Wilfrid Laurier University where I am majoring in Communications and minoring in Criminology. This year I am a Residence  Life Don and the House Council Advisor for my building, I have loved being able to create an impactful university experience for my first-year students.”

You have to sing karaoke, what song would you sing?

“If I were to sing karaoke it would probably be Taylor Swifts ‘Love Story’ especially at camp.”

If you had to eat one camp meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be?

“If I had to eat one camp meal every day for the rest of my life it would probably be outdoor BBQ.”

What is one thing people might not know about you?

“One thing that people might not know about me is that last May I went to Israel on Birthright and got to experience so many amazing things and ride a camel.”
