Check out our interview with Community Care Assistant Jess Shindler-Glass in the blog below! Welcome back Jess!

Tell us about your background at camp?

“I started at camp in 2016 as the office manager, and returned in 2017 as a counselor/office manager. Last year, I spent the summer as Nitz assistant unit head and am excited to return as Community Care Assistant this year.”

What are you looking forward to this summer?

“This summer I am excited to get to know campers and staff across all units at camp, as well as working with the dream team (Michelle and Kari).”

What do you do outside of camp?

“Outside of camp, I’m graduating this summer with a Psychology degree and heading to Israel to teach English for a year after camp.”

You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?

“If I had to sing, I’d probably choose American Pie by Don Mclean as you’d all have to listen to me sing for 8 minutes and 33 seconds.”

If you had to eat one camp meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be?

“I reckon I’d go for outdoor dinner #teamhotdog.”

What is one thing people might not know about you?

“I’ve eaten lunch with the President of Zanzibar.”
