Today is Yom Do-ar, letter writing day. After lunch, each camper will go back to their cabins during Menucha (rest period) to write a letter home. While their letters may take a couple more days to reach their recipients, we thought we would share a letter to you…

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am having so much fun at camp. I know I’ve only been at camp for a couple days but it feels like I’ve been here for a lot longer. I am having so much fun. I was very excited to pass the swim test yesterday! The temperature is great. This morning we baked cupcakes in Cooking and then we went waterskiing. I got up on my first try! I can’t wait to try it again next time.

The food has been really good. My favourite meal so far has been chicken stir fry and I heard we’re having spaghetti tonight. My counselors are awesome. I have 11 other kids in my cabin and we are all having the best time. It feels like we’ve been friends for a long time.

Tonight we’re going to the Point to have a campfire. I heard we’re going to roast marshmallows! My counselors told me that tomorrow we’re going to play basketball in the morning and we’re going to get to try paddle boarding in the afternoon. Camp is so much fun. I can’t wait to do all the other activities here.

I have to go now but I’ll make sure to write you again in a couple days.

Love,

Your Camper

N2 had the opportunity to share a letter home during one of their activity periods. Check out their letter to home below.

Make sure to be checking your mailboxes in the next few days for your letters from camp!
