At the end of First Session, a group of Kochavim and Barak campers performed the camp play: Peter Pan. The reviews are in, and it’s clear that this show was a great success!

Hannah in B6 who played Wendy captivated us as the girl who is caught between childhood and adulthood and brought the audience along in her conflicted journey.

The title role, played by Jacob in K3, had a dynamic and strong performance, committing to the role from the first line to the final bow.

Tinkerbell played by Evalynn in K6 made us believe in fairies with a dynamic performance.

Sammy in B3 was energetic and an abrasive Captain Hook who left us on the edge of our seats wanting more.

The entire supporting cast of warriors, lost boys, pirates, and fairies carried the show with sophisticated and inviting nuances. Overall, the acting and direction made this show one not to be missed.

Here’s what the audience had to say:

“I think we should give a huge congratulations to all the actors! It was awesome!”

The show was amazing! I’d recommend to all of my family and friends!” –

“I’d rate it 5 stars for sure! Definitely a must-see.”

“Wow! Just wow!”

And here’s what some of the cast members had to say:

“I loved being in the camp play and can’t wait for the second session play!” – Hannah, B6 (Wendy Darling)

“I thought it went really well! I have a cold, so it was hard to sing, but I think the audience enjoyed it and I had a good time!” – Bella, K2 (Fairy, Lost Boy)

“I was really nervous, but I knew it was going to be good and we did it!” – Jordan, K2 (Mrs. Darling, Fairy, etc.)

“I think it worked out really well! It was a lot of work, but in the end it paid off.” – Ben, K1 (Lost Boy)

“I think it was hands down the best musical that Camp George has put on since I came to camp in 2013! Though I may be biased!” – Jacob, K3 (Peter Pan)

Finally, special praises go to the Camp George Drama Staff, Yael and Sarah for their fantastic direction, Daniel Abramson for making such a great set, Sara Swartz, Saskia Maurice, Rotem Aharon for building all the props, and Rosh Arts Talia White for her continued support.

 5 out of 5 stars
