Dear Camp George families,

Greetings from Second Session! We’re just over 24 hours into camp and already, it’s amazing to see how quickly our new community has come together with ruach and friendship. Today was a great first full day of camp, complete with activity rotations, swim tests and sunny weather! We look forward to topping it all off with a beautiful Shabbat celebration.Normally, we will provide updates from each of our units every week. Given that it’s only the first full day of camp here are just a few of the things we are excited about that are new for this summer:

NEW ski boat – We can’t wait to create many skill building moments with it!

The completion of our docks update including a brand new paddle sports dock!

NEW cooking program! We’re excited to have fun learning about cooking skills and healthy living through this new program.

NEW inflatable at swim – Get ready to jump, slide and ROCKIT into Maple Lake all summer long!

NEW outdoor water fountain – Campers and staff have more opportunities to stop for a drink of water or fill their water bottle on their way to their next great activity!

NEW innovative and exciting programs for the camp community! We have updated our Saturday Shabbat schedule making our celebration of Shabbat even more special.

NEW Visitor’s Day Schedule. We look forward to welcoming families from 11AM-2PM.

Looking ahead to next week, we are excited to begin Nitzotzot Point Adventures, Lehavot Island Adventures, Barak canoe trips, as well as Kochavim and Barak chugim (choice periods.) View our opening day video.

Please be sure to save the date for our CG at 20 celebration on September 28th in Toronto and a reminder to parents in the GTA to join us for our Second Session Parent’s Night Out on Tuesday July 31st.Wishing you a wonderful Shabbat,
