Camp George has fostered some wonderful friendships over these past 20 years. We decided to sit down with three best friends from first session: Emma, Jamie, and Emily!

When did you all meet?

We met last year at Camp George! We’ve now been friends for a full year.

How did you meet?

On the first day of camp – we were put in the same cabin!

What were your first impressions of each other?

Emma: I thought Jamie was really shy and that Emily was really loud.

Jamie: I thought Emma was crazy and loud, and that Emily was sassy!

Emily: I thought Emma was dramatic and outgoing, and that Jamie was a leader.

What are some of your favourite memories together?

Tickling Jamie! Oh and when we had a cabin program called “L6 Got Talent”, which was one of our Shabbat Walks.

Do you have any inside jokes?

Yes, a lot! Our favourite one is telling everyone it’s Emma’s birthday, when it’s really not! We go around saying, “Hey look it’s my friend Emma’s birthday! Happy birthday Emma!”

What are your favourite activity areas to go to on camp together?

We would definitely have to say Drama, Swim, and Paddlesports!

What are you most excited for about next summer?

We look forward to more inside jokes, laughing, being in the same cabin, and overall having a great summer!

Anything else you’d like to add?

Camp George is where you can make really great friendships! Ever since we met we’ve been great friends.
