Jane HK:What will your job be this summer?

I will be serving as Head Specialist of the Arts and Rosh T’fillah. I will also be assisting as a songleader.

Jane HK:
Where will you be living/ what will you be doing until camp?

I am currently living in Jerusalem, completing my first year of cantorial school at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion and I will be here experiencing Israel until a few weeks before camp starts.

Have you ever been to any other Jewish summer camps? If yes, what’s one of your favourite memories?

From ages 9 – 14 I was a camper at Camp Louise in Cascade, MD.  My favorite memories include participating in the plays, white water rafting with my bunkmates, “outpost” (campouts),  sing-a-longs and Israeli dancing on Shabbat.

Jane HK:
What’s your favourite Jewish food?

White fish salad and my mom’s brisket (grandma’s recipe.)

Jane HK:
Finish this thought; someday I hope to be/become:
A great congregational cantor and Jewish professional leader.

Jane HK:Some of my musical inspirations are…

Stevie Wonder, Bon Iver, Aimee Mann, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Nina Simone, Gavin DeGraw, Van Morrison, Lisa Loeb, Alanis Morissette
